FWDM 基于滤波器的波分复用器(滤波器 WDM 或FWDM)是成熟的膜过滤技术，具有宽通道带宽、低插入损耗、高通道隔离度高，环境稳定性和可靠性高。设备组合或分离在宽波长范围内的不同波长的光，滤波器FWDM 被广泛应用于EDFA、拉曼放大器、WDM 网络和光纤。
FWDM (filter Wavelength Divsion Multiplexer)是一种无源光学器件，在光纤通信系统中广泛应用于FTTH (fiber tothe Home) /FTTX(Fiber to the X)和CATV(Cable Television)等领域。在这些应用中，FWDM 扮演着重要角色，主要有以下几个方面的作用:
光信号的波长复用和分离:在光纤通信系统中，不同波长的光信号可以通过 FWDM 在同一根光纤中进行复用和分离。这样一来，可以在同一根光纤中传输多个不同波长的信号，实现光纤资源的高效利用。OLT (Optical Line Terminal)和 CATV信号的复用:FWDM 可以将来自 OLT 和 CATV 等不同信号源的光信号合并在一根光纤中传输。这种方式可以降低光纤资源的使用成本，提高传输效率。插入损耗低，性能优良:FWDM 作为一种无源器件，其插入损耗较低，同时具有良好的性能和稳定性，能够满足光通信系统对于信号传输质量的要求。
