1. Save optical fibers

One of the bandwidth costs of data centers is the cost of optical fiber resources. The more fiber cores rented, the more expensive the cost. Wavelength division transmission equipment can be directly multiplexed and expanded on the original 2-core fiber, and the 2-core can be changed into 20 or 40 or even 80 core. Most IDC customers already know that wave division can be used to solve the problem of inadequate cable resources.


2. Build a backbone network

The upper layer backbone network of a data center has a large bandwidth, with each port exceeding 100 Gbit/s. If a wave division device is used for networking, a maximum bandwidth input of 80X100G/200G and a maximum of 16 Gbit/s can be achieved to meet the bandwidth output between cities or bandwidth inbound and outbound requirements of some small countries.


3. Pure transmission, low delay

Most customers of data centers have high requirements on the network. For example, bank customers have very high requirements on the delay. As the wavelength division transmission equipment is pure transparent transmission and does not do any analysis and processing on the data, it only generates very low delay, which is about 1 millisecond delay for the transmission of 100 kilometers.


4. Suitable for ultra-long distance transmission

Many services of the data center are across many cities, and even across provinces and countries. The transmission distance is dozens or hundreds of kilometers, and some even thousands of kilometers. The longer the distance, the higher the rental cost, at this time, the wavelength division transmission equipment can play a maximum value in the cable laying. It has circled the whole country and passed through more than 40 machine rooms. Currently, the equipment has been running stably for more than 6 years.
