With the continuous development of high-definition photography and 4K ultra-high definition video transmission, high-definition video optical transmission has become particularly important. In addition, in recent years, due to the impact of the epidemic, many of people's lives are based on the Internet, such as students' online classes and defense at home, hospitals' implementation of telemedicine, fans' online watching sports events, fans' watching online concerts, etc., which have greatly promoted the development of high-definition video transmission. To realize the transmission of these high-definition videos, SDI optical module is required.
SDI optical module is different from our common SFP ordinary digital optical module in many aspects except that the package is the same: SDI optical module is dedicated to HD video transmission, and its video data stream encoding method is different from the telecommunications data. In addition to the different rates, it also needs to achieve a "sick code test" of the video standard.
SDI optical modules launched by xianyitong technology include 3g-sdi, 6g-sdi and 12g-sdi according to different speeds. This model is a 6g-sdi single transmitter module, which is compatible with sd-sdi, HD-SDI, 3g-sdi and 6g-sdi. The transmission distance is 20km and 40km. The product features are as follows:
